Rannoch the Red Deer 6,45pm BBC2
Simon King's beautifully filmed animal dramas have become something of a tradition at Christmas time. In recent years he's delighted us with films about a family of barn owls, elephants, badgers and even dingos.
This time the subject is particularly festive: a four-year-old red deer called Rannoch. King spent a year actually living with the herd of deer in the West Highlands of Scotland so that he could film their most intimate moments. And he has managed to capture some marvellous scenes.
