Turn of the Tide
Andrew Cooper continues to explore the spectacular scenery of the English Channel, and discovers an abundance of wildlife hidden in a drowned river valley. Over 20,000 wildfowl and wading birds regularly winter on the flats of the Exe estuary in Devon, which is also home to the biggest flock of avocets in Britain.
