LORI'S STORY.
Lori [text removed]had four children of her own when, overwhelmed by sympathy for her infertile sister Sherry, she agreed to bear a child for her. Despite Lori's subsequent doubts and her husband's unhappiness with the plan, she travelled from California to Alaska to inseminate herself with her brother-in-law's sperm. The moment the baby was born Lori realised what a mistake she had made. A gesture of sisterly love had turned into a nightmare - and in the eight years since she handed over the baby girl, Lori has seen neither the child nor her sister. Writer Nicky Singer accompanies Lori as she visits places from her past which hold powerful memories. Director Polly Bide ; Series producers
