The last in the series looking at the influence of European talent on the American cinema.
A Sense of Difference. By 1941 America was at war. Everyone had their role to play and for some of the exiles based in the movie capital of Los Angeles, the roles had more than a touch of irony. Refugee Jews played screen Nazis as Hollywood fought the propaganda battle.
