Monkeys on the Edge. The fast-disappearing Atlantic rainforest of Brazil is one of the most threatened landscapes on the planet. With its disappearance would go many rare and little-known animals and plants, and particularly primates. On the edge of extinction are South America's largest monkey - the dramatic muriqui - and one of its smallest - the strikingly beautiful golden lion tamarin.
