The last in a three-part series on the triumphs and failures of the Soviet manned space programme - told by the cosmonauts and engineers who took part.
The Mission. Last summer there were fears that the Soviet crew on board space station 'Mir' might have to be rescued. Instead, the cosmonauts went on a daring emergency space walk to repair their spacecraft. It was the climax of a six-month mission. Filmed over a year, with unprecedented access to the Star City training centre and Baikonur Cosmodrome, this is a remarkable record of that mission and the lives of cosmonauts today.
