"A study in excellence which most 'adult' opera and theatre companies would be pushed to emulate." (Glasgow Herald)
Life in mid-19th-century London was harsh for the poor, and especially for poor children. This fast-moving musical tells the story of Joe and Annie Cooper, two of the 'ragged children' struggling to survive, and the many characters who both help and seek to harm them. The musical score is based largely on popular 19th-century songs.
