Don Johnson , Cybill Shepherd Jason Robards , Ava Gardner The sleepy southern town of Frenchman's Bend is shaken by the arrival of Ben Quick , a mysterious drifter with a reputation for ruthless revenge. Will Varner , the town's most powerful man, takes a liking to the stranger and hires him.
