The American West - nowhere else in the world has been so saturated in fiction. But, to producer Tim Slessor , who once lived there, the reality is much more dramatic than the myth.
This film tells the story of just one small area: the Powder River Basin of Wyoming. Here, in its original edition, happened almost everything that has gone to make the West the legend that it has become. This was the final strong-hold of the Sioux. Later came English and Scots m'luds, who aimed to make their fortunes as cattle-barons. Later still came the Wild Bunch - led by Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. But,as this film discloses, they were noTkilled in an Andean shoot-out. Yessir ... it first happened on the Powder.
