Poet in Residence- at Berinsfield Vernon Scannell has just been made Poet-in Residence in Oxford-shire and given a .flat in a council-built village.
The Book Profirawime filmed Scannell on his first day in the job, conducting an opening mission to the community (at Bajibury School) and settling into his council flat at Berinsfield, where. some local residents are angry that art seems to come before homes. Also Desmond Morris , author of The Naked Ape, and Brian Glover , actor, wrestler and playwright, make a choice from the latest books. '
