Wildlife in the Holy Land Narrated by TOM FLEMING
In the Bible there are nearly 3,000 references to animals and birds. Today most of those Biblical creatures have been hunted out-some to extinction. But there is a plan to restore to their original homeland some of the birds and beasts of ancient lands like Galilee, Judaea, Samaria, and the wilderness of Sinai.
The state of Israel has created reserves for the new breeding herds of native animals such as the addax and the ibex, the onager and the oryx. These reserves are also vital havens for the migratory birds that pass through the Holy Land.

Holkham Hall , Norfolk is an 18th-century mansion in the Italian style in which few changes have occurred since it was built. It is a lasting reminder of an age of elegance and of its most famous owner, Coke of Norfolk, the anti-royalist revolutionary.
The music in the programme comes mainly from the years when Holkham was being built, 1734-1762, and includes pieces by J. C. Bach , J. S. Bach , Barsanti, Boyce, Handel, Haydn, Hook and the six-year-old Mozart. It is performed by the ENGLISH CHAMBER ORCHESTRA directed by PHILIP LEDGER
