The Year of the Green Centre Narrated by Paine Barry Australia's wettest year on record has brought floods and disaster to many areas. Central Australia is the driest part of this driest of permanently inhabited continents, yet even this has been deluged. A normally drought-gripped land has been awakened into the most vividly spectacular bloom of desert flowers and animals in living memory. The desert rains have triggered birds into breeding and produced abundant food for insects, lizards, mice and men.

Five O'Clock Charlie
At exactly five o'clock each day a lone North Korean pilot makes a bombing raid on the large munitions store thoughtfully sited by the army right next to the hospital unit. Unfortunately for the M*A*S*H personnel Charlie's aim is deadly inaccurate, which leads Hawkeye to take bets on what - or whom - he will hit next. After all, it passes the time.
