The renowned novelist lives alone in a large and remote house high on the cliffs of Cornwall. Here, in 1971, for the first time Dame Daphne du Maurier agreed to talk on television. In conversation with Wilfred De'ath, she talked about her famous family. But mostly, the author of Rebecca, My Cousin Rachel and Frenchman's Creek talked about her books and claimed: 'I'm not a romantic novelist at all.'
