In private enterprise Britain, more than half the economy is under Government control; this year £1,000-million of public money will go into industry. The red-in-tooth capitalists of the 19th century now look to Whitehall rather than the City to keep them afloat.

Money at Work talks to Averell Harriman who helped switch control of America's economy 'from Wall Street to Washington' in the 1930s; Czechoslovakia's former Deputy Prime Minister; and to MPs, trade unionists and businessmen about how capitalism has changed its spots.
Together with comment on the business and industrial scene.

The second in a season of films by this unique and controversial director - Jean-Luc Godard
Starring Marino Mase, Albert Juross

Two peasant brothers, summoned by their King, go off to fight in a great war. They murder and pillage to their heart's content, sending home postcards to their womenfolk telling of their enjoyable experiences.
In this ironic fable Godard looks at the utter futility and stupidity of war and at its brutalising effect on the men who fight.
