In Britain's first year inside the Common Market we will have to pay nearly ten per cent of the total European Budget - most of it towards subsidising continental farmers. What will this country get back? Money at Work looks at our future Common Market outgoings, and at what we may expect in return for our own declining industries, where nearly half of us earn our living.

A report by Felix Greene

The final film of the series looks at Chinese Medicine and Pharmacology which was referred to by Chairman Mao Tse-tung as a 'great treasure house.'
Felix Greene, freelance British reporter and friend of Red China, was recently given facilities unique for a Westerner, to travel far and wide to look at developments in medicine since the Cultural Revolution.
This unusual film shows how Western and Chinese methods are frequently combined - and illustrates the contrasts between the larger urban medical centres and the 'barefoot' doctors who travel from village to village in the more remote parts of China.

The second of two films by the great French director Marcel Carne.
Starring Arletty, Jean-Louis Barrault, Pierre Brasseur, Marcel Herrand

The second part of Carat's film, L'Homme Blanc, takes up the story five years later. Baptiste and Frederic have now become the idols of Paris. When Garance reappears, old jealousies are revived and this time the repercussions are more disastrous.
Marcel Carne's masterpiece, and one of the most famous of all French films. Set against a background of the Paris Theatre of the mid-19th century, the story concerns the lives, careers, and love affairs of a group of mimes and actors who are at the mercy of the audience in the galleries - Les Enfants du Paradis.
