More than seven million retired people are drawing the old age pension. Twenty-one million now at work can expect to join them. Many of these can also look forward to an extra pension from their employers. Soon every wage and salary earner may have to belong to a superannuation scheme. What is the pensions business, and will it give us value for our money when we retire?

Starring Monica Vitti, Richard Harris, Carlo Chionetti

In tonight's film Monica Vitti, the star of L'Avventura, La Notte and L'Eclisse, portrays Giuliana, a girl suffering from acute depression who finds even inanimate objects hostile and aggressive.
The Red Desert, Antonioni's first film in colour, employs sequences dominated by a single colour in a remarkable way to express the complex reactions and emotions of his characters.
