More than seven million retired people are drawing the old age pension. Twenty-one million now at work can expect to join them. Many of these can also look forward to an extra pension from their employers. Soon every wage and salary earner may have to belong to a superannuation scheme. What is the pensions business, and will it give us value for our money when we retire?
