by Jean Benedetti
[Starring] Dandy Nichols as Nancy Broughton, Iain Cuthbertson as William Stead, Avis Bunnage as Rebecca Jarrett

This story is true: it is also horrifying. In the 1880s children were raped and corrupted; if they were lucky they died young - if they lived they were old at 20. Bramwell Booth of the Salvation Army, together with the influential W.T. Stead, editor of The Pall Mall Gazette; obtained the help of a former prostitute, Rebecca, and so began their struggle to get the law changed.
