Starring Janet Leigh, Betty Garrett, Jack Lemmon
with Robert Fosse, Kurt Kasznar

A gay and lively musical about two sisters from Ohio who come to New York in search of fame and fortune.
Janet Leigh plays the attractive sister in this her first musical, and Jack Lemmon, in an early role, gives a fine cameo performance as her sister Ruth's prospective publisher.

with Percy Thrower
from the Priory of Lady St Mary, Wareham, Dorset
The history of the Priory, now privately owned, can be traced to the 8th century. The gardens, skirted by the River Frome and spaced by wide lawns, have been carefully planned and planted to preserve the atmosphere of serenity befitting this ancient House.
Next Saturday Percy Thrower will be visiting the Priory again.

In June 1968 the promise to four young men was fame and fortune. The means was to be a record in the Hit Parade achieved by the big 'Tin Pan Alley' sell.
"A Year in the Life" followed the group wherever and whenever any event of consequence might happen. The film is not a pop show but an account of attitudes; of dashed hopes and optimism as the group are hustled through the multi-million-pound industry of Pop.
Can they through the year realise the promise? Can they become the 'Big Deal Group'?

The weekly arts magazine presented by James Mossman
Francois Reichenbach won this year's Oscar award for documentary films. Review presents his latest film, made in conjunctions with the BBC:
"Elmyr - The True Picture?" - a portrait of 'the world's greatest art forger'.
Elmyr de Hory, who lives on the island of Ibiza, was recently revealed as the originator of an estimated 1,000 pictures purporting to be by Picasso, Matisse, Modigliani, Dufy, and others. Reichenbach's film, in which Elmyr demonstrates his 'art,' presents a portrait of an outrageous man with an extraordinary story to tell.
