Is the Law an Ass? asks Professor Francis Camps in this series of highly personal films.

Prostitution - pornography - drugs - driving - are all fields in which the law has failed to achieve satisfactory results.
Professor Camps, the well-known pathologist who has worked on many famous murder cases, is highly critical of some of the laws that govern our daily lives. He believes there are many instances where they achieve the opposite result to that intended.

Buddy Rich and his Orchestra
Special guests: Annie Ross, Jon Hendricks

Acclaimed the world over as the greatest big-band drummer of all time, Buddy Rich has certainly earned this reputation. His career began at the age of 18 months when he appeared in his parents' vaudeville act; took him through the drum chairs of most of the major swing bands - Bunny Berigan, Artie Shaw, Harry James, and Tommy Dorsey - and today sees him leading a dynamic, youthful band whose average age must be half that of its leader.
The audience in tonight's show includes most of Britain's top professional drummers enjoying a real 'busman's holiday.'
