Peter Donohoe directs the Northern Sinfonia from the piano in a concert recorded yesterday in the City Hall,
Newcastle-upon-Tyne, featuring two rarely-heard piano concertos. Roberto Gerhard 's colourful concerto of 1961 draws its inspiration from his native Spain as well as from Schoenberg, Bartok and Bach.
