Otello
Verdi's great operatic adaption of Shakespeare's tragedy returns to the Royal Opera House in Elijah Moshinsky 's celebrated production, which conjures up the sumptuous, high-Renaissance world of Titian and Veronese. Against this vivid backdrop the brilliant young tenor Jose Cura sings the role of the fatally jealous Moor - his first time in the role at Covent
Garden -whose love for the innocent
Desdemona is poisoned by the evil lago.
Chorus and Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden , conductor Daniele Gatti
