Newcastle's Avison Ensemble and soprano Mhairi Lawson recreate one of Charles Avison 's 18th-century subscription concerts. Including a newly rediscovered work by Francesco Scarlatti plus music by Handel, Geminiani and Avison himself.

Jonas Hellborg
A concert given by the Swedish hardcore bass virtuoso Jonas Hellborg at London's Pizza Express. Hellborg is best known for collaborations with John McLaughlin , Tony Williams and Ginger Baker , but his latest group fuses Indian vocals and percussion with guitar playing by ex-Texan rocker Shawn Lane and Hellborg's own unique bass style.
