4: Relationships
Beethoven was always in love, said his friend Franz Wegeler , "and sometimes made conquests that an Adonis would have found difficult, if not impossible!" What is clearfrom his romantic attachments is that all too often he fell for society women, who were above his own class. Because of this, these relationships tended to have unsuccessful conclusions for Beethoven. Ich Denke Dein, WoO 74
