Undoubtedly the orchestral event of the year was the first performance last February of Elgar's sketches for the Symphony No 3 elaborated by Anthony Payne. Now this realisation of Elgar's final thoughts comes to the Proms and the Royal Albert Hall in the company of works by two other orchestral magicians - Mozart and Ravel.
