Second World War adventure starring William Holden

Late in 1942, LtCol Frederick is assigned to train the first Special Service Force for a mission in the Norwegian mountains. Half of his command is a crack Canadian troop of hand-picked men, the rest are a collection of thugs and misfits drawn from US army stockades all over the country. He has just four months to weld the unit into a disciplined fighting force.
