Featuring the best of the overnight action from Atlanta, including Britain's men in hockey action against South Korea. The team are hoping to revive the spirit of their outstanding performance in the Seoul Olympics eight years ago, when Britain won the gold medal for the first time since 1920, beating the former West Germany 3-1 in the final.

There are four finals to catch up with in the swimming, including the women's 200m freestyle, an event at which Britain's Karen Pickering has a proven pedigree - she is a former champion in the short-course format, where swimmers turn at 25 metres instead of at 50.
Introduced by Steve Rider and Hazel Irvine.

Britain's Sarah Hardcastle goes in the heats of the 400m freestyle (3.05pm), the event in which she won silver in the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics when she was just 15. Other members of the British contingent in this round of swimming heats are Nick Shakell in the 100m freestyle, James Hickman in the 200m butterfly and Helen Slatter in the 100m backstroke.

There's also British interest in the rowing heats from Lake Lanier. Garry Herbert, who coxed Greg and Jonny Searle to a gold medal in the Barcelona Olympics, is in action. The Searle brothers are taking part in the coxless fours this time round, and Herbert is now competing in the men's eight, where he's hoping to steer Britain's team successfully through their heats, starting today. It's a busy day for the rowers, with heats in seven disciplines, while the three-day event team competition begins with the dressage.

Plus the latest news from other sports, including judo, where the men's and women's middleweight divisions are in qualifying action for the finals, which take place tonight. Introduced by Sue Barker.
