Bruce Forsyth and Rosemarie Ford return for the fifth, and apparently last ever, series of the Generation Game. As always details of the actual games are kept secret right up until the recording of the show, but producer
David Taylor promises that there will be old favourites, such as variations of the "potters wheel game", as well as new ones. And of course there will be dances - from Samoan to the can-can - and plays in which the contestants must show their acting ability.
A host of celebrity guests are lined up for future shows, including Rolf Harris, Frank Carson and June Whitfield, as well as two sporting giants who have to keep their modesty intact while assisting in a bed-making exercise.
The programme plays its part in the BBC's French Challenge initiative when Mireille Johnston flies in to demonstrate la cuisine francaise.

Anneka Rice sets out to "make the impossible possible" with the aid of enthusiastic and energetic volunteers. The town of Burnham-on-Sea has a Marine Rescue boat on standby but because there is no boat house on the shore the boat is stored miles inland in the Somerset countryside. Anneka's challenge this week is to build a new lifeboat station, but she only has 72 hours to complete the job. Will she sail through the task before her or be left high and dry?

The first 100 years of Promenade Concerts are brought to a rousing conclusion in the second half of tonight's live concert. Joining in the music-making and festivities are two of Britain's most brilliant young artists, percussionist Evelyn Glennie , soloist in Paul Creston's Marimba Concertino, and Welsh baritone Bryn Terfel.
Popular works by Kabalevsky, Massenet and Grainger - all premiered at the Proms - are performed before the evening comes to its traditional grand climax, including - as ever - Henry Wood's own Fantasia on British Sea-Songs.
