George Farrow
Imagine having the money to hunt the world markets and acquire a truly fabulous collection of antiques. Then imagine having the money to design and build a house especially to display your collection to its best advantage. Michael Newman travels to Jersey to visit the remarkable home of a man who has done just that.
George Farrow , son of an East End docker, decided at the age of 12 that he was going to make money, not as an end in itself but in order to assemble a valuable but scholarly collection of antiques.
He owns bronzes and gilt furniture of the highest quality, but the main collection, perhaps one of the finest in private hands, is of Oriental silk carpets. Director MIKE BOW
