Thomas Wogan signed the death warrant for Charles I, but despite years of being a Roundhead, he turned Royalist and supported the monarchy.

Make 'Em Work
More than three million people in Britain are unemployed. The cost to the taxpayer is £6.75 billion a year.
In Ronald Reagan 's America, the unemployed are now forced to work for their state benefits. Twenty-two states now make people earn their welfare. Unemployed miners are made to pick up garbage, single mothers to put their babies in day care and look for jobs. And those who refuse have their benefit cut off. It's called Workfare and Paul Barry reports that its results have been extraordinary.
