The last of seven films in which - using the words of St Matthew - Peter Barkworth tells the story of those few days 2,000 years ago which were to change the course of history and to give millions a reason for living.
'And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, "All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world." Amen.'

for Easter from Bury St Edmunds
An enormous abbey was built to house the martyred remains of Edmund, the young Saxon King of East Anglia. So many pilgrims came that three additional churches had to be built.
The abbey has disappeared but one of these churches, St James 's, survived to become the town's cathedral of St Edmundsbury.
Sally Magnusson joins in some of the Easter activities in the area, beginning as members of the Hengrave Community light their paschal fire to symbolise the joy of Christ's resurrection. Ye choirs of new Jerusalem (St
Fulbert); The whole bright world rejoices now (Hilariter); Jesus Christ is risen today (Easter hymn); He is risen. He is risen' (Aethelwold): Immortal, invisible (St Denio);
Amazing grace; Alleluia! Sing to Jesus! (Hyfrydol): 0 sons and daughters, let us sing! (0 filii et filiae)
