A new series - although the last with Dervla Kirwan and Stephen Tompkinson - gets underway with a miraculous storyline. No, nothing to do with the imminent birth of Niamh and Ambrose's first child, but to do with a small statue in the chapel, which starts "sweating". "And that is a miracle because it's bloody freezing," says down-to-earth farmer Eamonn. "God moves in mysterious ways," intones Father MacAnally, "and even a nine day wonder might cause a surge of real devotion." And a swelling collection box too, of course. Father Peter Clifford cannot work out who would benefit most this "miracle" - Liam and Donal who are running a chip van just near the church, Padraig O'Kelly who is reporting on this scoop for the local paper or even - but surely not - Assumpta whose pub is overflowing with devout trade. All will be revealed.
