With a massive three-ring circus about to start a countrywide tour, tensions under the big top are running high. The problems are accentuated when Sebastian, a French aerialist, is hired to displace Holly in the centre ring. But this is only one problem for the circus manager, Brad, and his temperamental and talented artists. DeMille's spectacular production -with its exciting climax - is probably the most famous circus film of all time, combining circus thrills and comedy with a cleverly interwoven story enacted by an all-star cast.
