A series of ten programmes
Introduced by Cliff Michelmore
The brochures, the ads, the commercials are already coming in thick and fast, as Holiday returns with ideas and advice to help you make your holiday choice this year.
Of all the Caribbean islands, Barbados has maintained its popularity over the years, but have world-wide reductions in air fares brought this traditionally higher-priced winter sunshine area within the reach of more modest budgets? Anne Gregg goes self-catering to find out.
CLIFF MICHELMORE takes a short break' in Dublin. Since Ireland joined the Common Market the Irish capital has become a truly European city, offering a degree of sophistication that will surprise those who still see the Irish in terms of long-irrelevant cliches. A city with style, and more besides.
In the studio the latest news on the travel and holiday scene.

from St Andrews , Fife
The town of St Andrews has a name for excellence in what it offers to the tourist; the achievements of its ancient University and, of course, golf. Yet as James O'Hara discovers, the townspeople retain a high degree of canny common sense, as one might expect from the inhabitants of the Kingdom of Fife. They sing their praise in Hope Park Church.
Praise my soul (Praise my soul); 0 send thy light forth (Martyrs); Jesus shall reign (Warrington); The Lord's my shepherd (Crimond); Sing, my tongue (Pange Lingua); Sweet heart of Jesus (Fons Amoris); 0 Jesus I have promised (Wolvercote); Now thank we all our God (Nun danket)
