Songs of Praise

on BBC One London

from St Andrews , Fife
The town of St Andrews has a name for excellence in what it offers to the tourist; the achievements of its ancient University and, of course, golf. Yet as James O'Hara discovers, the townspeople retain a high degree of canny common sense, as one might expect from the inhabitants of the Kingdom of Fife. They sing their praise in Hope Park Church.
Praise my soul (Praise my soul); 0 send thy light forth (Martyrs); Jesus shall reign (Warrington); The Lord's my shepherd (Crimond); Sing, my tongue (Pange Lingua); Sweet heart of Jesus (Fons Amoris); 0 Jesus I have promised (Wolvercote); Now thank we all our God (Nun danket)
