In this, the second of two programmes, follow the progress of Marquis the lion and Judy the elephant after two weeks' training. Fred the chimpanzee also puts in an appearance.

James Coburn introduces this selection of the most exciting events of the XII Winter Olympic Games with a wealth of personal background knowledge and a dry sense of humour. The actor, himself an accomplished snow athlete, has a rare gift for conveying the exhilaration - and terror - involved in hurtling downhill at 75 mph, or flying off the end of a ski-jump so that even the least sports-minded viewer shares the thrills, skill and immense courage of the Olympic heroes.

"Better than being there in the flesh." (Daily Express)
"One of the most exciting screen experiences I've enjoyed in the past year." (Daily Mail)
