An insight into the training of wild animals for the circus.
'It just takes time and patience. Sometimes you think it's never going to work. Then suddenly one day they come in - and surprise you.'
MARY CHIPPERFIELD shows that only with patience, reward and mutual respect can a wild animal be taught to perform in the ring. In this, the second of two programmes, follow the progress of Marquis the lion and Judy the elephant after two weeks' training. Fred the chimpanzee also puts in an appearance.
