with John Pitman
A series of six programmes which follow the fortunes of people who have decided to risk a dramatic change in their lives.
When she was a baby, Angela [name removed] contracted a disease which has left her today almost completely paralysed and entirely reliant on her husband, Peter. Major surgery not only failed to help her walk again, it also left her very vulnerable if ever she became pregnant.
Last year, Angela decided to be sterilised - but before this, she also decided to give herself just one final chance of becoming a mother - even though doctors said it was so dangerous that it could kill her. This is the story of how Angela and a skilled medical team set about trying to produce a baby. What Angela hopes will be 'my miracle baby'.
