David Frost in conversation first with George Burns and later with Lucille Ball and Carol Burnett

Burns, now 74, 'I smoke 20 cigars a day, at my age I've got to hold on to something,' tells a series of dry reminiscences about his 67 years in show business and his 50-year friendship with Jack Benny. 'We were at this party and Jack got up to light a cigarette. I said: "Quiet everybody, Jack is going to do the match bit." And he stood there with the cigarette and the matches, he didn't know what to do with everybody looking at him, so he finally lit the cigarette. I said: "Oh, a new finish".'
Lucille Ball recounts the experience she had with her newly born baby and Carol Burnett recalls the embarrassment of receiving an injection in the bottom from the doctor she loved.

In recent films Derek Ware has been shot, speared, blown up, knocked down, run over, set on fire, and dropped from a great height. As a professional film stuntman and fight director he has spent the last 10 years deliberately putting himself in peril. What kind of man takes up this 'dying art'? And are those hair-raising stunts really as dangerous as they look?

Robert Robinson recalls the events of June 1950.
The Korean War began - by 27 June Communist troops reached Seoul, the capital of South Korea; the Schumann Plan for Iron and Steel Corporation in Europe laid the foundations of the future Common Market; and Sylvia Peters was prevented from wearing a strapless dress on television -'the BBC fears it might give viewers the impression that the bareness continued beyond the screen.'
Brian Glanville recounts England's ignominious World Cup defeat by the USA in Brazil.
On film, Gussy Moran arrived to play tennis at Wimbledon; Norman St John Stevas and Robin Day rowed against each other and Phyllis Dixey stripped.
