The Missing Girls
In March last year Joyce Fusin, a 17-year-old Liberian asylum-seeker, was taken to a social services home near Brighton, then vanished without trace. Joyce is one of 12 young female asylum-seekers who have disappeared in Sussex in the past four years. Brenda Emmanus investigates. In 1996, eight years of ambition and dedication paid off for Welsh band Manic Street Preachers when their album "Everything Must Go" became a multi-million seller. Their success came despite the unexplained disappearance in 1995 of their fourth member, guitarist and lyricist Richey Edwards. The film blends archive interviews, home movie and live stage footage of the band as they discuss how the loss of Edwards affected them.
