Recently Monica Redlich married a Dane, and went to Copenhagen to her new home. As well as the fun of seeing strange customs and sights, she says that she had the additional gratification of finding that the Danes had so much in common with the English. She has recently written a book on her experiences in Denmark.

Among the thousands of visitors to the famous Highland Games at Crieff today will be a BBC mobile recording unit and W. L. Hunter of Scotland's Outside Broadcasts staff.
The sports attract all kinds of competitors of varying brawn to put the weight, throw the hammer, run, and so on, but a feature of the meeting that would be peculiar anywhere south of the Tweed is the dancing and the pipes.
There will be another broadcast at 4.15 in the Scottish programme.

The Grand Prix at Donington is the last big motor-cycle event of the season. There are four events, of which the 62 1/2-mile circuit for 500 c.c. machines is the most important.

The Child's Song (From L'enfant et les sortileges) (The Enchanted Nursery)
Two of the greatest composers of modern French song are Ravel and Roussel. Ravel, who was a pupil of Faure, showed rare sensitivity in setting the exquisite poems of the great French poets. All his songs are notable for their beautiful sense of line and colour, and perfectly turned craftsmanship.
Albert Roussel , who was a pupil of Vincent d'lndy, was equally fastidious in his taste, and in his songs shows an exquisitely evocative lyricism.
This evening's programme includes some of the most characteristic examples of the art of these two masters.
