Madame Tabouis '
Genevieve Tabouis was born in Paris in 1894. As a niece of the late M. Jules Cambon , she spent much of her youth in diplomatic circles.
Her first interest was archaeology, which she studied for ten years.
She made her debut in political journalism in 1924 when she became League of Nations correspondent for two important provincial papers. In 1932 she joined the staff of L'Oeuvre as its leading diplomatic writer, and now enjoys a reputation as the leading independent authority on foreign affairs in the French Press.
This evening she is going to discuss not politics, but the difficulties of a career in which it is comparatively hard in her country for a woman to make her mark.
