Today's Problem
Wilson Harris
How far can a country combine efficiency as a nation with the liberty of the individual citizen? This is probably the central problem in European politics today, and every Friday evening for the next two months authoritative speakers will be coming to the microphone to discuss it. Each speaker will deal with the question in relation to a particular country. After each authority has spoken, Wilson Harris will ask him questions and comment frankly on what he has said.
Tonight, in the opening talk, Wilson Harris will survey the problem and discuss the general scope of the series.
