The story of salvage in which the contents of a number of dustbins will be carefully examined and dealt with Devised and produced by Alan Mel ville with the co-operation of the Ministry of Supply and municipal cleansing departments
In order to show the housewife how she can help the salvage campaign, Alan Melville will make a tour of mythical houses in a fictitious street, examine the dustbins and follow up the contents to their logical, but sometimes surprising, conclusion. He has inspected the systems adopted by the cleansing departments of several Scottish municipalities, and seen the results of their salvage drive and the efficiency with which the enormous piles of scrap are graded into their proper divisions. ' One man's waste is another man's raw material ' is the motto of his programme.

The whole affair produced by Ronald Waldman

Here is a rollicking farce if ever there was one. If you were a girl in love with a publicity agent and your father ran a band which couldn't get dates, wouldn't you make use of your boy-friend? You will hear how Rag, the favourite tiger of the short-sighted Scottish keeper, Jock M'Finnon, came to the rescue in the most unexpected and breathless way. There is romance here and adventure and colour, and you may be sure-a happy ending.' The band makes good and boy gets girl after forty-five minutes of real excitement.
