Last year's line-up for the final wasn't decided until the second Saturday, as rain forced an overnight postponement of Andy Roddick 's tie with Thomas Johansson. On resumption, the American lost the first set on a tie-break, only to take control of the next three to set up a mouth-watering encounter with top seed Roger Federer , a repeat of 2004's final. In sharp contrast, the Swiss ace pounded world number two Lleyton Hewitt 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 in his semi.
