On resumption, the American lost the first set on a tie-break, only to take control of the next three to set up a mouth-watering encounter with top seed Roger Federer , a repeat of 2004's final. In sharp contrast, the Swiss ace pounded world number two Lleyton Hewitt 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 in his semi.
