Here, he uses once top-secret documents in his attempts to reconstruct some strange but clever machines - including a rocket propelled Catherine wheel that inspired an episode of Dad's Army. That's followed by a look at how animals - including a pigeon carrying a guided missile and an eavesdropping cat - contributed to the war effort.
