Steve Rider introduces live coverage from the 132nd Open championship. It's the second day of proceedings at Royal St George's, and the players will be on their mettle to try to avoid ending up on the wrong side of the cut.
The prize money for this year's competition has been increased by L100,000 to f3.9 million, although the winner's purse has stayed the same at a cool £700,000. This is still a considerable hike on Greg Norman 's winnings at the last Open to be played at the Royal St George's course ten years ago, when he earned a comparatively meagre L100,000 for his four days'work.

It's that time of year again. Promenaders will be donning their finery and flocking to events around the country to celebrate the highlight of the classical music season.
Stephanie Andrews introduces the opening concert live from the Royal Albert Hall , where chief conductor Leonard Slatkin will be leading the BBC Symphony Orchestra and BBC National Chorus of Wales with mezzo Irina Tchistyakova and baritone James Rutherford in tonight's programme.
The theme of this year's Proms is Greek myth, and future concerts will reflect the passion, love, fear, tragedy and acts of the gods found in those stories, which have gripped audiences' hearts for centuries. Colin Davis will be conducting Berlioz's The Trojans, Donald Runnicles presides over Strauss's Elektra and there are also performances to come of Purcell's Dido and Aeneas and Michael Tippett 's King Priam.
Tonight's line-up is a feast of Russian music, with Shostakovich's lively Festive Overture blasting open the proceedings. The main course of tonight's fare is
Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No 1, and you can expect the crowd to be wowed by a stunning performance from
China's flamboyant young pianist Lang Lang. At the age of 21, Lang Lang has brought concert halls throughout the world to their feet with his dynamism and tonight's performance should be no exception.
And with this year being the 50th anniversary of Sergei Prokofiev 's death, the night climaxes with the oratorio version of his dramatic and brooding score for Sergei Eisenstein 's 1942 classic Ivan the Terrible.
