Imagine having hundreds of half brothers and sisters.
Barry Stevens believes that he has: his father was unable to have children, and his parents were among the earliest beneficiaries of artificial insemination, while the technique was being developed by a London clinic. Half a century on, Stevens wants to trace his biological father.
This documentary follows Stevens through the highs and lows of his investigation, as his euphoric breakthroughs are frustrated by the pioneers' procedural informality, and the assurances of anonymity that were given to the original sperm donors. Contains strong language.
