Valmik Thapar continues to explore the rich range of wildlife across the Indian subcontinent.
Thapar discovers two of India's great rivers, the Ganges and the Brahmaputra. He explores the Kaziranga region, where he sees elephants, buffalo, tigers and the one-horned rhinoceros. The flood plains of the rivers also attract thousands of birds, the elusive fishing cat, and the gharial, one of the world's rarest crocodiles.
The Ganges and Brahmaputra come together to form the Sunderbans, an enormous mangrove swamp. Here, Thapar witnesses men using otters to help them catch fish, and does his best to avoid the area's famous man-eating tigers.
